At last....
It's a very good feeling to know what you want to do with your life, finally. Although, going about it will be interesting. My chosen course, book publishing/editing, will take me away from the area that I grew up in, and that does not bother me in the slightest. Smallish communities have their advantages, but the disadvantages outweigh in this case. I feel completely isolated out here. At times, I am thankful for the silence, but most of the time, I'm wishing I could do something that wouldn't take a 30 minute drive through the country before you arrive in the city. A city, that really isn't all the cultural or mainstream, no matter how much they'd like to think they are. Having 3 Starbucks doesn't cut it.
Most all of the jobs I've seen so far are on the East coast, near New York, Chicago, or San Fransisco. It has to be a good enough opportunity for us to pick up our lives and move, but I am all for it. Sure, I'll miss family and friends, but it's our life, not theirs.
